Treatment overview
What are dental implants?
Dental implants are an effective solution for missing teeth. If you've lost teeth through accidents, decay or disease, you can regain a perfect smile during a course of treatment to implant tooth roots into your mouth. It can dramatically improve your life, especially if you suffer from embarrassment about your teeth.
You'll receive a full assessment as to whether they're right for you. Essentially, your dentist will implant a titanium screw into your jaw to replace the root of your tooth. This can be used to replace either a single tooth or entire blocks of teeth. By placing the implant as close as possible to the bone surrounding it, the implant will be stable and provide a strong base for your replacement teeth.
Dental implants are one of the safest cosmetic dentistry procedures available, mainly because dentists have honed their skills over three decades. The impact dental implants can have on your life shouldn't be underestimated — a long-term solution that requires short-term perseverance, with results so remarkable you may believe implants are the best decision you ever made.
Advanced 3D imaging
CBCT Scans & fully digital implant planning
What is an Acteon X-Mind Trium CBCT three-dimensional (3D) imaging system?
Our imaging software allows us to produce a high-resolution, panoramic image of the patient's mouth and all of the structures it contains. By producing three-dimensional images of the jaw, teeth and gums, the machine gives us an accurate visual of the nerves, teeth, gums, blood vessels, soft tissues and bone.
The images are invaluable during procedures. They easily identify nerves and blood vessels, allowing Dr A. Farahani and his team of implant dentists to work around them safely. The images can also be used to identify and position narrow or missed root canals during root canal treatment.

Treatment options
Dental implant retained restorations
At Woodbridge Hill Dental Practice, we provide a wide range of dental implant treatments within comfortable, relaxed and modern surroundings. Our state-of-the-art clinic is the ideal setting for your implant surgery.
If you have a tooth missing in your upper or lower jaw, head straight to our dental clinic. With the use of cutting-edge treatment facilities, we will mount a crown on a dental implant to fill in for the missing tooth. Our dentists also have great expertise in solving multiple missing teeth — implant-retained bridges don't rely on adjacent natural teeth for support, replace some of the roots of your tooth, preserve bone levels and don't need to be removed for cleaning. Implant bridges are also far lighter than dentures.
