Prevention
We help patients maintain their oral hygiene
The accumulation of dental plaque and tartar is the most common cause of gum disease. Our team of qualified dentists offers excellent advice on the techniques and methods of oral hygiene after examining your condition. Maintaining good dental health goes a long way in reducing the amount of deposition on the teeth, thereby preventing gum disease.
Our experts are also qualified in performing some of the most advanced treatment procedures to help prevent the build-up of tartar and plaque.

Scaling
A more involved version of the plaque removal performed during a standard cleaning. Scaling refers to scraping plaque from the tooth surface, allowing your teeth and gums to recover from the presence of bacteria. Scaling may be done without anaesthesia as it targets the crown and is not typically painful.
Deep Scale and Root Planing
While scaling addresses the crown, root planing aims below the gum line to remove hidden plaque from the tooth root. This root-level plaque is especially insidious and can lead to gum pockets, recession and even tooth loss. Deep scaling and root planing also smooth the root surface to make it more difficult for bacteria to adhere.
Antibiotics
When plaque and bacteria have become lodged deep between teeth and gums, physical removal alone may not terminate the infection. Tiny antibiotic packets may be placed in periodontal pockets to protect the area, decrease pocket size and help the tissues heal.
Periodontal Surgery
After periodontal disease, your gum line may not be the same — gums may have receded and pockets may gape between teeth and gums. Our expert periodontist offers cosmetic periodontal surgery, including the modern tunnelling technique, to balance tooth exposure and gum height for an aesthetically ideal smile.
Extensive care
An extensive range of gum treatments
Bone Grafts / Augmentations
A surgical procedure that uses fragments of natural or synthetic bone as a substitute for bone destroyed by gum disease, helping to restore stability and promote regrowth.
Guided Tissue Regeneration
Performed when the bone supporting your teeth has been destroyed — this technique stimulates regrowth of supportive gum tissue and bone.
Gummy Smile Correction
If your gums cover too much tooth surface, our periodontist can remove the excess gum and reveal the healthy tooth beneath.
Pocket Reduction Surgery
After periodontal disease has healed, you may be left with pockets that once held accumulated plaque. We can suture those pockets to reduce their size and prevent reinfection of the area.
Soft Tissue Graft
Tissue is taken from a healthy area of the mouth and connected to the receding gum line, protecting the tooth root and improving an overly toothy smile.
